Care Center Manager – Albuquerque, NM

French Funerals & Cremations is seeking an experienced, licensed Care Center Manager. This position is responsible for directing the overall operations of the Care Center and the Transfer Team in keeping with established standard and practice:

  • Models all the behaviors, skills and techniques established by the French Family of Companies.
  • Supervises exempt and nonexempt employees; responsible for staff performance management, training, licenses, OSHA compliance, evaluations, and standards of excellence
  • May serve in the role as embalmer as needed.
  • Oversees daily operations of the Care Center to ensure care and preparation of decedents comply with state and French standards.
  • Ensures embalming procedures are in accordance with the New Mexico Funeral Services Act (NMFSA).
  • Supervises the care and preparation of decedents to include embalming, reconstruction, cosmetic application, dressings for casketing and viewing arrangements.
  • Collaborates with Funeral Directors to meet the family’s wishes regarding viewing arrangements, funeral services and/or disposition of the body.

Required Education and Experience: Active license and a minimum of five (5) years experience as a licensed Embalmer or Funeral Director.

Funeral Director/Embalmer or Intern – Seymour, IN

Indiana Licensed, licensed eligible, or intern needed for Indiana funeral home. Full time position. We are family owned, have our own crematory, do our own removals and work as a team to serve families from first call to filing of insurance and VA benefits. We expect all directors to be flexible enough to work any job that needs done and that includes meeting families, embalming, making removals, driving to airport, cosmetics and dressing of remains, delivering flowers, etc. We are small town, full service. We make all funerals as personalized as possible and we know most people who come through the front door as we serve the same families over and over because of the trust they have in us.

Skills needed: Embalming, dressing, making removals, ability to lift, writing and verbal skills, obit creation. Experience variable based on education and time in field.

Requirements: Completion of an accredited school of mortuary science program and licensed or eligible to become licensed. Two piece suits and white shirts are mandatory for both men and women.
