Each year Selected Independent Funeral Homes offers a new opportunity for Selected members to enroll in The Leadership Academy, a two-year structured leadership training program that engages participants through interactive conference calls, personal coaching calls and face-to-face experiences. Through the generous contribution of the Meadow Hill Corporation, maker of Thumbies, the Educational Trust is able to offer a Leadership Academy Scholarship to one individual to cover the entire registration fee for the 2013–2014 term, as well as a fixed-amount reimbursement payment to help cover the cost of books. The total estimated value of this scholarship at the end of two years is $4,500.
Eligibility
Any individual currently employed full-time at a firm maintaining full membership in Selected Independent Funeral Homes who is not a majority owner of the firm is eligible to apply.
To Apply
To be eligible, applicants must submit a completed scholarship application including all information requested to the Selected Educational Trust office no later than 3:00 p.m. (CT) on Monday, February 18, 2013. An application can be obtained by calling 1-888-70-TRUST or by downloading the form below. All applications will be reviewed by the full Educational Trust Board and voted on, with a majority approval vote by the full Board required. A submitted application is not a guarantee of a scholarship award.
