Letter of Intent to Participate

The form below represents a commitment to participate in the Selected Independent Funeral Homes Educational Trust’s C.A.R.E. Initiative. As a C.A.R.E. Initiative Partner, you commit to:

  • Cremate. Use the services of Cremation Recycling* to manage your cremation recycling efforts.
  • Allocate. Allocate at least 20% of your total recycling revenues
    to the Selected Educational Trust.
  • Recycle. Turn your recycling revenues into a tax-deductible donation
    to the Selected Educational Trust.
  • Educate. Watch your donation turn into programs that support, educate,
    and enhance the independent funeral service profession.

I, the donor, hereby agree to donate the following percentage of my firm’s total recycling revenues to the Selected Educational Trust. (must be at least 20%)

In return for committing to donate at least 20% of your total recycling revenues to the Selected Educational Trust, you will receive the following benefits:

  • Firm name, logo, and website link on Trust C.A.R.E. Initiative webpage.
  • Firm name and logo displayed in Trust’s annual Honor Roll of Donors.
  • Recognition in Trust’s monthly newsletter, Updates, distributed to more than 15,000 professionals.
  • Recognition in Trust social media pages.
  • Recognition in Selected publications as applicable.
  • Recognition in Trust regular email alerts to member and non-member professionals.
  • Two invitations to the Selected Educational Trust Reception held annually during Selected’s Annual Meeting.
The C.A.R.E. Initiative Donor will inform their cremation recycling vendor of their intent to support the Selected Educational Trust through the C.A.R.E. Initiative per the terms stated above.

*Cremation Recycling is a Preferred Partner of Selected Independent Funeral Homes. However, the donor may elect to utilize the services of a similar dedicated precious metal refinery for the purposes of donating cremation recycling revenues to the support of the C.A.R.E. Initiative.

The Selected Educational Trust is classified as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by the standards of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Therefore, the donation may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
